Terms of Use — Drip Chinese

1. About Drip Chinese
Drip Chinese is provided by Hangzhou Guanheng Technology Co., Ltd (杭州观恒科技有限公司; "we", "us"). It is a vocabulary-learning app intended for adult learners. These terms supplement the app's license terms with product and service information. You can contact us at hi@dripchinese.com.
2. Learning and availability
Learning content and progress are available locally on your device. Some features, including purchases, restoring purchases, iCloud synchronization and external links, require Apple services or an internet connection. Widget updates are scheduled by iOS and are not guaranteed at a particular time.
Learning materials may be corrected or updated. Drip Chinese is a learning aid, not an official HSK examination service, and does not guarantee examination results, fluency or a particular learning outcome. Please tell us about content errors.
3. Premium and purchases
The app offers free access and optional Premium purchases. The purchase screen describes the current features, price, billing period and terms before you confirm a purchase. Prices and availability may vary by region. Apple processes purchases and payments; we do not receive your payment-card details.
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple. You can manage or cancel your subscription using Apple's subscription settings. Cancellation normally stops future renewals rather than removing access for a period already paid for, subject to Apple's terms and applicable law.
Premium Lifetime is a one-time, non-renewing purchase, not a subscription. Buying Lifetime does not automatically cancel an existing subscription: manage that subscription separately with Apple. Lifetime describes the purchased Premium entitlement; it is not a promise of perpetual operation of the app or Apple's services.
Use Restore Purchases when needed. Access depends on a valid purchase verified by Apple, including any applicable expiration or revocation. Refund requests are handled through Apple and are subject to applicable consumer rights; these terms do not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Your learning data
You do not need to create a separate Drip Chinese account. When available, iCloud synchronizes supported learning progress and settings. Synchronization can be delayed or unavailable, and should not be treated as an instant or guaranteed backup. Local learning remains available when iCloud is unavailable.
Deleting the app is not the same as deleting saved iCloud data. Restoring the app may restore saved progress. See our Privacy Policy for data handling and deletion information.
5. Content and permitted use
The app, branding and learning materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Use them lawfully. Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or bypass purchase verification. These terms do not restrict rights granted by applicable third-party or open-source licenses. The app provides the relevant notices in Settings → About → Content Licenses.
6. Apple and external services
Apple's App Store, payments, iCloud and other external services have their own terms and policies. We do not control their availability or decisions. External legal pages and the App Store open outside the app.
Your license to Drip Chinese is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), with us as the application provider. These supplemental terms are not a custom EULA and do not replace or amend the Standard EULA. If these terms conflict with the Standard EULA on a matter it governs, the Standard EULA controls, subject to mandatory applicable law.
7. Changes and your rights
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. Published revisions will identify their effective date; additional notice will be provided where required. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply.
Nothing in these supplemental terms excludes or limits consumer rights, remedies or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. You may contact us about a concern without giving up any right to seek a remedy through a competent court or authority. These supplemental terms do not impose an additional exclusive court, mandatory arbitration requirement or liability cap, and do not override the Standard EULA's applicable provisions. Our location in Hangzhou does not by itself require all users to bring claims there.
